For the Love of Dog Y’all

I am Skip Nielsen and I am a professional dog trainer. I have experience training different types of dogs with different backgrounds – rescues, breeder purchased, pet store purchased, purebreds, mutts, large, and small. I am a graduate of Penn Foster College with a certificate in Dog Training/Education.

I am the proud dog dad of Molly, a lab-mix who was rescued from a roadside ditch, and Jackie, a boxer-mix who is from Animal Harbor.

Recently, I have been focusing on shelter dogs, I am a trainer at Animal Harbor and Marion Animal Resource Connection (MARC) where I train dogs basic obedience and people who want to learn how to train dogs

A little more about me. I have a M.S.Ed. in Education emphasizing adult education. I also have almost 30 years of experience training Sailors in the US Navy. I am a member of the Association for Dog Training International (APDT).

What you will take away from our lessons is that you can train your dog to be a better behaved and better trained companion. And you will be able to continue to work with your dog to learn new things even after we complete this course. I will train you how to train your dog..
